A Hotel Development and Management Company

Services

Hotel Construction and Development

CHG has successfully developed hotels from the ground up.  The CHG executive team has a keen insight into the development process, from site and brand selection, to financing, design, and construction.   We leverage our reputation and relationships in the industry to put together a great team once we identify an opportunity.

Acquisitions

CHG has expanded its investor base from immediate family members in the 1980’s to partners outside the family circle in the 1990’s and 2000’s.  In 2010 the company acquired 3 hotels including the Mt. Hood Inn, the Quality Inn Portland Airport, and the Rodeway Inn Portland Airport.  In each of these scenarios, the executive team identified opportunities through their network of brokers and consultants.    Due to CHG’s experience in the segment, they were able to unlock asset value through repositioning strategies that resulted in above average investment returns.   CHG’s current strategy is to seek opportunities that will unlock similar upside via renovation and repositioning.  CHG is also seeking investors who wish to partner with CHG in this hotel segment.

Management Services

CHG has a team of hotel operators at the property level, and above property level, with the knowledge and experience to manage a range of hotel brands in urban, suburban, and resort settings.   The operating results speak for themselves.  CHG’s hotels are typically top-in-class in various categories:  Guest satisfaction, Quality Assurance, Profitability.

CHG’s growth strategy is to continue to manage it’s own portfolio as well as expand its 3rd party management services to clients looking to partner with an operator with the skill set that CHG brings to the table.

Renovation

CHG’s portfolio consists of hotels in varying stages of renovation cycle.  CHG handles all renovations in-house with a keen eye on refreshing hotels that meet stringent brand standards while keeping costs and overhead low.  In 2010/2011 CHG conducted hard and soft good renovations on 3 hotels in its portfolio, an estimated capital budget of $3.5 million.
